Earlier this month we organised Active Bystander Training delivered by NWG Network. The training was aimed at helping those working in sport and physical activity to better understand and become more confident at safely and effectively intervening in harmful situations and challenging conversations that are not comfortable.

Active Lincolnshire, working with the regional network of Sport Welfare Officers has launched a new East Midlands Sports Welfare Forum. The forum will allow us to share safeguarding messages in a more accessible way, helping support Club Welfare Officers in their vitally important roles.

We're excited to launch a new skills fund, as part of the Active Communities initiative to equip individuals working in the East Lindsey or South Holland areas of Lincolnshire with the necessary skills to deliver engaging and accessible physical activity programmes in their communities.

Active Lincolnshire staff have teamed with colleagues from our building to litter pick in the local area. The event was instigated by student Kouki, as student at the University of Lincoln, who has been doing a work placement with us, focusing on volunteering and litter-picking.

A new report from the Active Pregnancy Foundation 'MOMentum Lost: Unpicking Maternal Physical Activity Patterns in 2022' reveals that pregnancy in itself is a barrier to women’s engagement in physical activities during the childbearing years and highlights barriers and critical insights into the challenges faced by women in maintaining an active lifestyle during this period.
