Through insight, collaboration and local solutions that meet the needs of real people, we passionately believe that Lincolnshire can be a place where everyone has the opportunity to be physically active every day.
Active Lincolnshire brings people and organisations together to help more people be more active, more often.
That means collaborating, co-creating, and doing things with people. We listen, understand the local need, test and learn. We support a whole system change approach and deliver programmes with vision, flexibility and creativity.
By identifying opportunities through audience-led engagement, research and insight, we deliver, lead, support, fund and connect according to local need.
As one of 43 Active Partnerships across England – each working to make physical activity a part of everyone’s life, regardless of age or background – we are committed to improving access and participation for people in Lincolnshire.
Mainly funded by Sport England, we are helping to deliver their strategy, Uniting the Movement, across Lincolnshire. The national strategy focuses on groups that are more likely to be inactive, such as women and girls, people living with a disability or health condition, and those from less affluent backgrounds.
Active Lincolnshire has been in existence for over 17 years. The organisation has changed significantly during this time, from a County Sports Partnership through to an emerging Active Partnership.
Over the last 12 months we have once again been transitioning into an organisation that aligns with the national Uniting the Movement Strategy and we play a key role as a system partner in Lincolnshire. We’re focussed on tackling the challenge of inactivity and inequalities through embedding options to be active into the place.
It is critical that we are able to communicate to our audiences effectively. To ensure that we are able do this, we have refreshed the Active Lincolnshire brand and built this new website. We have worked with local agency Rizk McCay Tribe who have helped us think about our audiences, the Active Lincolnshire brand and how we can best communicated with you.
The three ribbons in the new logo have evolved from the 5 flames of our previous logo which were representative of the 2012 Olympic Games.
The three ribbons in the new logo show movement and they represent the three core messages in our mission: More People, More Active, More Often.
We wanted to modernise the font and the overall look and feel of the logo, and the wider brand now has a professional, modern look and feel – fit for purpose as we enter in the next stage of our journey as an Active Partnership.
