To mark International Day of the Midwife (5 May) and International Nurses Day (12 May), nurses and midwives across England are being encouraged to participate in parkrun events this May. We spoke to Community Midwife Amanda Mumby-Croft from the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust who has been tasked with leading on the midwives takeover of Lincoln parkrun on Saturday 4 May.

Sport England's latest Active Lives Adult Survey report, show that between November 2022 and November 2023, 63.4% of the adult population met the Chief Medical Officers’ guidelines of doing 150 minutes, or more, of moderate intensity physical activity a week.

Swimming pools in Lincolnshire have been awarded £2.5m funding to improve energy efficiency and reduce running costs. The grants will help to fund projects such as installing solar panels, pool covers, LED lighting and improving insulation.

Low Carbon Louth, a local charity who work to support initiatives towards sustainable lifestyles, have successfully held a series of free events to make cycling accessible for everyone across the weekend of Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th January. The events were part of the Cycling UK’s Big Bike Revival weekend, supporting everyone and anyone to begin or return to cycling.
