Funded Projects

Tonic Health awarded Together Fund Grant

Tonic Health awarded Together Fund Grant

Tonic Health have been awarded a grant of £4,860 from Sport England's Together Fund. Tonic Health are a health and wellbeing charity providing community support across South Lincolnshire and Boston. They work with people experiencing mental health, dementia, Veterans, people with Autism, the lonely, isolated and vulnerable.

The funding will provide a range of equipment for use at Tonic Health's Holbeach Hub for use by adults groups in the daytime, and by children and young people at evenings and weekends. The equipment will provide a range of different physical activity opportunities, enabling group members different options, and encouraging them to find an activity they enjoy and will be likely to continue. Many of the group members are not very active and have underlying medical conditions, and could really benefit from trying these activities and learning new skills. New equipment will allow groups to enjoy activities such as indoor cricket, archery and new age curling.

Some of the more specialist equipment will be only available under specialist supervision, whilst other equipment can be used by individuals/small or larger groups on a weekly/regular basis.
