Free Training Opens Doors to Inclusive Physical Activity
Physical activity organisations and Sports clubs across Lincolnshire are being invited to take part in Lincolnshire Inclusive Champions Training, a free interactive workshop designed to help create welcoming, inclusive spaces for everyone to be physically active.
The training will explore practical ways to remove barriers to participation, use inclusive language, and build confidence in welcoming people from all backgrounds, circumstances and abilities. Through real-life scenarios, group activities and discussion, participants will leave with clear, actionable steps to make their clubs and organisations more inclusive, and stronger as a result.
The sessions will be jointly facilitated by Vicky Thomson, Chief Executive of Every-One, and Ian Brown, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager at Active Lincolnshire, bringing together extensive experience in inclusive practice, wellbeing and community development.
Two training sessions are available:
-
Session One:
Active Lincolnshire Offices, Lincoln
Thursday 26 February, 6:00pm – 8:45pm -
Session Two:
Campus for Future Living, Mablethorpe
Thursday 19 March, 10:00am – 12:45pm
The training is open to clubs, organisations and individuals who want to ensure physical activity opportunities are accessible, inclusive and welcoming for all.
