Meet the finalists for the Active Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards 2026

We’re delighted to reveal the finalists for the Active Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards 2026, presented in partnership with Lincolnshire Community Foundation.

Our annual awards celebrate the people, organisations, clubs, schools and communities helping people across Lincolnshire become more active and enjoy the many benefits of movement.

And this year’s finalists have some incredible stories to tell.

From dedicated volunteers who give their time week after week, to coaches helping people discover new skills and confidence, community groups bringing people together and organisations breaking down barriers to participation, the finalists show the breadth of incredible activities happening across the county, and the power of moving more to improve health, happiness and wellbeing.

Celebrating the people making a difference

There are 27 finalists across nine categories, selected by an independent panel of judges from an inspiring range of nominations.

Alongside popular categories such as the Active Club Award and Unsung Hero Award two new awards have also been introduced for 2026.

The Community Champion Award celebrates an individual or group making a significant and lasting difference in their community by inspiring people, improving access and creating opportunities to be active.

The Active Skills Award recognises an individual, programme or initiative helping people develop the skills, confidence and experience to get involved and progress in sport and physical activity.

Across all the categories, this year’s nominations highlighted the many different ways being active can change lives. Whether it’s improving physical and mental wellbeing, building friendships, developing confidence or simply giving someone a place where they feel welcome, the impact goes far beyond the activity itself.

Have your say

Following its successful introduction last year, the People’s Choice Award is returning for 2026.

Later this month, you’ll be able to read more about this year’s finalists and vote for your favourite. The finalist receiving the most votes will be crowned the People’s Choice Award winner at the awards ceremony.

Join us in celebrating

All 27 finalists will come together on Thursday 12 November 2026 at the Engine Shed in Lincoln, where we’ll celebrate their achievements and reveal this year’s winners.

Every finalist will receive two tickets to the ceremony, with a limited number of additional tickets available to purchase.

We can’t wait to celebrate the incredible people and organisations helping make Lincolnshire a more active, connected and healthier place to live!
