sponsored by Active Lincolnshire

This award is for championing Lincolnshire employers, from any sector, who have excelled in supporting the physical wellbeing of their staff through encouraging and facilitating active lifestyles and an active work environment; whether this be at home or in the place of work.

The award recognises workplaces that have excelled in their staff wellbeing provision by proactively encouraging an active lifestyle for their employees.

Our Finalists

  • Active Nation
Charity Active Nation support health and well-being by encouraging staff to be physically active for 30mins a day on their shift. They also arrange weekly well-being sessions as staff teams, this can be physical like a game of football or an exercise class, or it may be a coffee and chat on mental well-being. Active Nation are also partnered with MYZONE and provide their staff with a Myzone Activity tracker which helps support their active well-being program. It is Active Nation's mission to inspire the nation to improve their health and well-being - and what better way than to encourage the staff on front line!

  • HWLincs
The HWLincs staff team have used physical activity as a way of being able to bond more as a team. Their employees, trustees and volunteers were invited to share their steps and miles achieved through their daily walking, cycling, swimming and running. The first of their challenges was to travel from Boston in Lincolnshire to Boston USA. Spurred on by this the next challenge was to travel the same distance as the Commonwealth Baton. Little did they realise how far this distance was going to be and how long it would take their small team - but with great efforts they are making inroads and regular updates of their achievements are encouraging their team to get moving much more. For those not wanting to be part of the challenge they have also introduced monthly mindfulness walks.

  • Wright Vigar
Wright Vigar are embedding wellbeing into their culture through their 5 ways of wellbeing. The company have a designated wellbeing group that meets regularly to discuss their team's wellbeing and develop strategies to help encourage and facilitate active lifestyles for their team.
