This award is for an individual, group or organisation that has made an outstanding contribution to participants through their commitment to provide sport or physical activity, benefitting the health and wellbeing of others.

Our Finalists

  • Jubilee Park, Woodhall Spa
    Jubilee Park, has made great improvements to all their community-orientated physical activity programmes, bringing together members of the community, improving physical and mental wellbeing for many people. The provision of year-round outdoor classes and swimming pool season aquacise with a sense of fun and enjoyment has encouraged many new members. Recent initiatives have also included increasing accessibility of their services to community members that are financially restricted and/or refugees.

  • LincolnBasketball
    Over the past year, LincolnBasketball has engaged hundreds of people in the basketball community including new and existing league players, coaches, referees, officials, young players, parents and fans. These sessions have reconnected and grown a diverse community of basketball players, openly spoken about mental health, and worked with young people from areas of deprivation and varied levels of education engagement to provide a vibrant and inclusive set of leagues and competitions. Lincoln Basketball have also brought together a diverse group of referees and officials who have benefitted from the league's social aspect and provided a location for families and fans to spectate for free in accessible community spaces.

  • Paul Fowler, 100% swimming
    100% Swimming has been delivering quality open water, pool and triathlon coaching, mentoring and events for the past 10 years. Paul takes both novices and expert swimmers and triathletes and inspires them to be the best they can be by providing quality coaching, mentoring, teamwork and events. In the 2021/2022 season, Paul has delivered multiple events, including intro to open water, 100tri team, cold water championships, solstice swimming events, aquathon (junior and senior), swim/run and many more.
