Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Network
The Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Network (LSPAN) is your opportunity to come together and connect with other people who are involved with delivering sport or physical activity in Lincolnshire - whether that is as part of a sports club, community group, organisation or as an individual coach or instructor. If you work or volunteer in sport or physical activity across Lincolnshire, join the group for free to get support and guidance and connect with others with a shared passion and purpose. We'll provide useful information to help strengthen your work and share what's working well across the county.

A campaign supporting young people to remain safe in their sport whilst continuing to have fun.
Our Be Safe – Have Fun Campaign uses child-friendly resources and engaging activities to help children and young people understand what it means to stay safe in sport. We aim to empower them to speak up and raise any concerns they may have, creating a safer culture where everyone can enjoy sport with confidence.
The campaign supports you, as a club or activity provider, to build inclusive, supportive environments, which encourage children and young people to recognise when something isn’t right and to talk to someone they trust.
Find out how you can join us in sharing it with the children and young people you work with, below.
The campaign has been supported and informed by children and young people's voices. We have undertaken extensive children and young people's surveys within multiple environments to understand what it meant for them to be safe in sport. We have also involved youth co-creation in the design of campaign assets.
The Be Safe - Have Fun campaign is aimed at anyone working with children and young people in sport or physical activity. It can be introduced as a year round round initiative to maintain a positive club culture or during our annual campaign dates in October.
To help you introduce and share the campaign within your club or activity provision we have created a toolkit with more information and insight about the background of the campaign, and guidance on how you can get involved and support it.
Click on the image below or here to download the toolkit. Further resources including child-friendly posters, and prompt cards can be downloaded below. If you have any questions about supporting the campaign, please email our Sports Welfare Manager, Richard Bell.

This programme supports and develops young coaches through training and programme delivery in order to increase their knowledge and skill sets in safeguarding and welfare.
