    4th March 2020

    • Sisters, Keira-Grace and Freya Castledine, have received support from Adam’s Foundation. Both play Netball and reached National Level in 2019 as well as attending Aspire Netball Performance Academy for Elite Athletes. Both have a good chance of being picked for this years Loughborough U15 Competitive squad and also for this summers England Netball Programme.
    • Kickboxer, Talon Chambers, won the Irish Open in 2019 and is currently ranked WAKO Number 1 in the world in the +47 Division. Talon will use his funding to help travel and compete in the Serbia WAKO World Championships as well as other UK and International competitions.
    • Ballerina, Annabel Foster, has received further support from the charity as she continues to progress at the Royal Ballet School in London. Annabel has had to work hard to be offered a place in Year 9 as this isn’t guaranteed at the start of Year 8.
    • Wheelchair Racer, Joel James, is hoping to be internationally classified in 2020. When he achieves this he will hope to compete in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m and 5000m in competitions in Italy and Switzerland. His long term aim is to compete in the next World Games and Paralympics.
    • Amelia Peters is the first player from Water Polo to receive support from the Foundation. Amelia trains in the Under 19’s GB squad and has just been asked to trial for the Senior Women’s squad. In 2018, Amelia competed in Madeira for GB Under 19’s and is still eligible to compete for them in the Europeans in Ostia in July this year.
    • Zac Pywell is a triathlete who primarily competes in Ironman. Zac’s funding will mainly go towards coaching and physio costs as well as travel as he competes Nationally and Internationally. In 2019, Zac came first in his age group in Ironman 70.3 Bahrain and Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote and over the next 12 months he plans to qualify for the World Championships in New Zealand.
    • Ethan Steele has been sponsored by Adam’s Foundation as he continues to represent GB in UK and International Competitions. In 2019, Ethan won the English Open, Scottish Open and Northern Irish Open as well as Silver at the British Championships and Copenhagen International. Ethan has a great chance of representing GB at the 2024 Olympics.
    • Kickboxer, Mackenzie Warrant, has received his second donation from Adam’s Foundation. In 2019, Mackenzie represented GB in Hungary and earned Grand Champion in three categories. He aims to represent GB again this year at the World Championships and take his 2nd Dan Black Belt.
    • Adam’s Foundation will sponsor Lyra Waters who competes in Roller Derby and plays for the Lincolnshire Bombinos who are based in Lincoln. Lyra has been selected to represent GB in the Junior Roller Derby World Cup in Saskatchewan, Canada in August.

    • Matt Ellis has received funding from the Foundation that will go towards his 2020 season where he will be racing for a Cornish based UCI continental racing team. Last year he raced for a top division French Team called Charvieu Chavagneux Isere Cyclisme based close to Lyon. Matt’s aim for this year is to podium at the National U23 Championships on the road and podium at the Cyclo-cross national series.
    • Will Lonsdale is the second Fencer to be sponsored by Adam’s charity. He recently came 17th out of a field of 196 at a Junior World Cup Event in Aix-en-Provence. He has also been selected for the 2020 World Fencing Championships.
    • Thomas Talbot has been sponsored again by the charity. Thomas competes Nationally and Internationally in Racerunning and races several distances. In April 2019, Thomas broke the U16 RR2 Male 100m World Record and then broke the 1500m RR2 U16 World Record in May 2019. Thomas was also nominated in the Disabled Sportsperson of the Year category at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards.
    • Road Cyclist, Joe Laverick, has received his second donation from the Foundation. Joe’s recent achievements include 8th Junior at the World Time Trial Championships and Top 10 Overall at Tour of Basque Country and Tour of Wales. In the next few months, Joe will be moving to France to ride for a World Tour U23 Development Team.
    • Adam’s Foundation has supported its first basketball player. Andre Ryan, from Lincolnshire, plays for Leicester Riders U16’s and has recently been called up to the U15 England Selection Squad. His goal for the next 5 years is to be playing NCAA College Basketball in America.

    14th August 2019

    • After winning Four Golds and One Silver Medal at the 2018 World Special Olympic Games in Abu Dhabi, Gymnast and trampolinist, Lauren Douce, is aiming for selection for the GB Trampolining team with trials in December. Her sponsorship will go towards training and competition costs.
    • Young dancer, Eva Fellows, has received a donation from Adam’s Foundation. Eva has been selected for the mid associate programme at the Royal Ballet Covent Garden after completing the Junior Associate Programme there in June. Eva was also a finalist in the White Lodge Royal Ballet Selection Programme.
    • Adam’s Charity has made a donation to Epee Fencer, William Ferguson, who became the U16 British Champion in May this year. William has already represented England at International level and aims to secure place on GB Cadet squad and to represent GB on European Championship circuit in the next 12 months. William was the Young Sportsman Runner up at the 2018 Lincolnshire Sports Awards.
    • Powerlifter, Amelia Mayock, has received funding that will help towards her National and International Competitions. In 2018, Amelia represented GB at U18 in Czech Republic where she won Gold for deadlift, Bronze for Bench Press and Bronze overall. Amelia will represent GB in the World Championships in Canada and in 2020 will compete in the British Equipped Juniors which are being held in Horncastle.

    • Archer, Jacob Boden, has received further support to help with competition and training costs. Jacob recently competed in the European Youth Cup in Slovenia and finished an impressive 9th. His next competition will be the Indoor Nationals Open in Warwickshire in September.
    • Oliver Kettleborough is an Artistic Gymnast and competes across all six apparatus. Oliver’s recent achievements include Masters Titles for Rings, P-Bars, Floor, Vault and Pommel at the Disability Masters for Artistic Gymnastics. His sponsorship will help towards retaining his British title and Masters Title. He also aims to compete in mainstream competition.
    • Nick Welbourn is the first sailor to receive sponsorship from Adam’s Foundation. Nick has been part of the British Youth Sailing Team for 4 years and is a member of the RYA Laser Radial Youth Squad. Nick came 3rd in the Laser Radial Men’s competition at the Palamos International Christmas Race 2018 and was the 2018 Laser Radial UK Youth Inland Champion.

    • Cyclist, Rory Standish, has qualified for the National Time Trial Championship for the past 3 years and is now moving into triathlon with the aim of being in the East Midlands Academy in the next five years. Rory was recently the youth winner of the Woodhall Spa Triathlon and will compete in the British Triathlon Championships in Leicester in September.

    • Anna Daly has received further support as she continues her education at the Royal Ballet School. Despite strong competition to retain her place at the School, Anna is now in her fifth successive year which is a great achievement.
    • Flossie England has received support from the Foundation to help with her 2019 equestrian season. Flossie recently qualified for the Pony British Novice showjumping second rounds with her Para Season starting next month.
    • Annabel Foster has become the third Ballet Dancer to receive a donation after being accepted at the Royal Ballet School. Annabel was only one of 13 boys and 13 girls accepted from over 1,000 people who auditioned for a place at the prestigious school so it is a huge achievement.
    • Elliot Harvey is first person to receive support from Adam’s Foundation for American Football. Elliot has been accepted on to the GB American Football Programme and has represented GB at under 19 level. He is also the first Lincolnshire Bomber to score a touchdown representing GB.
    • Judoka, Ethan Steele, continues to progress and take titles in Judo. Since his most recent donation from Adam’s Foundation, he has taken Gold at English Open, Scottish Open and Northern Irish Open.
    • Kickboxer, Mackenzie Warrant, has received his first donation from the charity. Mackenzie has already competed in a World Championship and has since continued to train with GB squad. In March he competed at the Adidas CIMAC Superleague and finished in first place.
    • Luke Easton received funding to help with his progression in Karate. He travelled to Madrid in November to compete as part of a three man team in the World Championships and is also going back out to Spain in March to represent England in the Senior European Championships.

    13th September 2018

    • Talented Dancer, Matthew Bates, has received further funding from the Foundation as he aims to get into the Royal Ballet Company. He was one of only three British boys to be accepted in the graduate year at the Royal Ballet School which is a huge achievement and his recent performances include Nacho Duato’s Multiplicity and Anthony Dowell’s ‘Auroras Wedding’ from Sleeping Beauty.
    • 9 year old Reuben Herridge is already representing Lincolnshire at County and Regional Level. This year, Reuben was a finalist in two regional tournaments after playing some of the top players from the North of England and Midlands. His funding from Adam’s Foundation will help him as he aims to step up to National Level in the next 12 months.
    • Squash player, Charlie Jubbs, who is on the Aspire East Midlands Programme has received support from the foundation to help towards his completion costs. Charlie already captains Lincolnshire U13 boys and has represented East Midlands at the National England squash Aspire Championships.

    • Recipient, Alex Parker, is the first Modern Pentathlete to be sponsored by Adam’s Foundation. Alex recently competed in the Yorkshire region modern triathlon (run, shoot, swim) and won each discipline and therefore qualified for the National Triathlon Championships where he came 5th overall in his age group. In the next 12 months, he will be adding fencing to his competition repertoire and aims to move from Silver to Gold on the English Talent Pathway.
    • Race Runner, Thomas Talbot, has had a fantastic 2018. Having come back from hip surgery, he set new pb’s in all distances and went on to win 4 National RR2 Gold medals at the Cerebral Palsy National Athletic Championships in Doncaster. He also won Disabled Sports Person of the Year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards and was invited by British Athletics to join their Paralympic development academy.
    • Isabella Vinter has received further funding as she continues to progress in Triathlon. During 2018, Izzy won the LWAC 3k series for U13 girls and finished 6th in the region at the Leeds IRC National Qualifier for British Triathlon. Izzy’s aim for 2019 is to become part of the East Midlands Triathlon Academy.
    • Elly Spence, who participates nationally and internationally in Irish Dancing has received her first donation from the charity which will go towards her equipment and competition costs. In the last World Championships, Elly placed 27th and she recently placed 5th in the Scottish Nationals. Her aim for 2019 is to achieve a medal at the next World Championships in North Carolina which she has qualified for.

    • Georgie Brock-Taylor currently plays netball for Loughborough Lightning under 19’s as well as Charnwood Netball Club Under 16’s despite only being 14 years old. Georgie is already being watched by England scouts and hopes to join their under 17 camp and play in their squad at netball Europe.
    • Lauren Douce has received funding that will go towards her competing at the World Special Olympic Games in Abu Dhabi. Lauren competes in Swimming and Trampolining but excels in Gymnastics. Last autumn, Lauren achieved five medals at the National Special Olympics in Sheffield and was Overall Class 1 at the British Championships
    • Lincolnshire Bombino, Eve Gormley, has participated in roller derby for six years. In autumn last year, she was selected to play for England Juniors and will fly out to Philadelphia in July to participate in an exhibition game at the end of Women’s Roller Derby World Cup.
    • Adam’s Foundation has sponsored swimmer, Ethan Grace-Riches, as he aims to qualify for the Junior European Championships later this year. He will also be aiming for a gold at the British Nationals in July. Ethan has recently been nominated for Secondary School Sports Person of the Year Award.
    • Wheelchair Racer, Joel James, competes in the T34 Classification at several distances and has been selected to represent the North East team in the school games for the past two years. Joel’s funding from Adam’s Foundation will support him as he represents England at the CPISRA World Games in Barcelona in August.
    • Kayaker, Patrick Mongan, competes in Flatwater Sprint Kayak Racing and in 2017 was one of the youngest athletes to be selected for the GB Talent Pathway at British Canoeing. He competed with the Super Regional Squad at an international event in Belgium, achieving silver in the K2 1000m race. Patrick is aiming to go to the European Championships in 2018 and join the Olympic Hopes team.
    • Angus Smith has received funding towards his aim of placing at the European Sprint Triathlon Championships in Glasgow in August. Angus recently achieved a Bronze medal at the National Duathlon Championships and a 14th place finish at the World Standard Distance Championships in Rotterdam. Angus’ Blog
    • 11 year old swimmer, Jessica Wheaton, qualified for ten events at the County Championships in 2018, winning 5 golds and 3 silvers. Jessica’s funding will help with travel costs now she has been selected for the GB Talent Pathway. This comes after being ranked at number 2 in at 50m Breaststroke in the country.

    • Archer, Jacob Boden, will be travelling to France during Easter to participate in an international training camp. Everyone at the Foundation wishes him all the best.
    • Emily Patch has received funding that will go towards her competition and training costs in triathlon. Emily has made significant progress since she was last sponsored by the charity. She has qualified for the 2018 European Sprint Distance Championships as well as finishing 3rd in the National Sprint Championships. Emily’s Blog

    • Cyclist and Triathlete, Rory Standish, has received his first donation from the Foundation. For the past 2 years, Rory has qualified for the National Time Trial Championships and hopes to represent East Midlands in Triathlon in 2018

    • Alice Standish has had a fantastic 2017 in cycling with 1st place finishes in the Doncaster, Tameside, Ixworth and Fakenham Criterium Races. Alice has also represented East Midlands at the UK School Games and is hoping to compete abroad next year.
    • Judoka, Ethan Steele, has also had a successful year winning medals across the country and even winning the ‘Young Sportsman of the Year’ Award at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards. He has also been selected for the Regional England Development Squad.
    • Isabella Vinter received her first donation from Adam’s Foundation as she aims to become part of the East Midlands Triathlon Team next year. Despite being only 12 years old, Isabella has already competed in regional and national events in cross country and open water swimming.
    • Luke Easton has a great chance of competing for GB in karate at the 2020 Olympic Games. He is already competing at a world level and has been selected seven times to represent England in the Junior World Championships. As well as competing, he has already begun coaching karate to younger competitor as his competition costs are largely self funded.
    • Wheelchair Tennis player, Matthew Murray, has received funding from the foundation that will go towards competition entry, travel and hotel costs as he aims to play compete in ITF events in Europe in 2018. Matthew is already part of the Tennis Foundation Development Squad and has competed in the British Open for Juniors.
    • Anna Daly has had another successful year at the Royal Ballet School and has received support from Adam’s Foundation to help with her costs for the next 12 months. Anna has recently won the prestigious Kenneth Macmillan Choreographic Award for 2017 which is a huge achievement.
    • Golfer, Courtney Martland, has received her first donation from Adam’s foundation that will go towards competition and training costs. Courtney has had a great 2017 and continues to reduce her handicap.
    • Adam’s Foundation has also made another significant donation to the Lincolnshire Elite Athlete Programme which offers various types of support as well as financial help.

    26th July 2017

    • The Lincolnshire Bombinos are a roller derby team in one of the world’s fastest growing sports which is also being considered for future inclusion at the Olympics. Five of the team are travelling to Copenhagen in August to participate in the first ever Junior European Roller Derby Tournament and have received financial support from Adam’s Foundation.
    • In 2017, Matthew Bates was chosen to represent the Royal Ballet School in Japan and was the only boy to perform in the Royal Ballet Schools Solo’s Evening! In the next 12 months he is hoping to complete his second year assessments so he can make the graduation year.

    • Swimmer, Matthew Broughton, has received support from the Foundation to help with his training, travel and competition costs. He has achieved 9 qualifying times for the 2017 British Summer Championships. He has also been nominated for Young Sportsman of the Year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards this year.
    • James Leaper is the first power-lifter to be sponsored by Adam’s Foundation. James has recently won the national classic bench press competition for under 66kg males. He has now qualified the Commonwealth Bench Competition in September. His funding will go towards travel and entry fees for competitions.
    • First time recipient, Joe Laverick, is a Schoolboy National time-trial champion and also finished 17th at the British Cycling National series junior tour of the Mendips stage race. The funding from Adam’s Foundation will allow him to compete in races of higher quality.
    • Rebekah Ward has made the switch from Athletics to Triathlon and finished 2nd in her age group in her first event last year. She has recently qualified for the World Sprint Triathlon Championships which are taking place in Rotterdam in September.

    April 4th 2017

    • Footballer, Jennifer Evans has received support from Adam’s Foundation to help with her travel costs to the 2017 Deaflympics. Jennifer has previously won a bronze medal at the 2016 World Cup.
    • Current U21 National Champion, Tom Jarvis, received support to help him reach at top 15 world junior ranking in the next year in table tennis.
    • Elias Khanouss has been sponsored as he aims to dance at World Championship level in Irish Dancing. The dedicated dancer will use the funding for competition travel and clothes costs.
      Swimmer, Caitlin Mullins, won 8 medals at the County Championships in February Championships and hopes to achieve a National Qualifying time in the next 12 months. Her sponsorship will go towards competition fees and a racing costume.
    • Thomas Talbot has received support from Adam’s Foundation to help with his competition costs in National and International racerunning – an adapted form of athletics for people with cerebral palsy. In 2016, Thomas represented England at the CPISRA 20th International Racerunning Camp and the European Championships.

    January 18th 2017

    • Alice Barnsdale is currently ranked 6th in the UK at the Hammer Throw at Under 20 level despite still only being 17. Megan is looking to achieve a podium at the English Schools Championships and then go for a place at the World U20 Championships in 2018.
    • Athlete, Megan Ellison, has received support from Adam’s Foundation as she looks to qualify for the English Schools Competition in the 800m. Megan also runs in the 1500m and 3000m. In 2016 she became the North Midlands Cross Country Champion as well as the Lincolnshire County 800m Champion.
    • Talented squash player, Harry Falconer, has received support that will go towards his travel and accommodation costs. Harry is currently the England Number 1 at U19 level and will play for the England U19 Team at the European Championships in Portugal this year.
    • Swimmer, Ethan Grace-Riches, has recently been selected for the England Talent Programme. His funding will go towards his aim of competing at Midland Level in May and hopefully Nationally in the summer.
    • Oliver Jackson has received support to enable him to compete in sprint and marathon events as a canoeist with his own paddles. In September 2016, Oliver received the Paddle Ability Under 16 Trophy for East Midlands.
    • Keele Markland has gained support from Adam’s Foundation that will go towards his target of competing at the World Dwarf Games. Keele has recently won Gold Medals in Football, Basketball and Hockey events and was a Disabled sports person runner up at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards.
    • Seamus Sheard who is a standard distance triathlete, has already represented GB at International level and was the 17th Under 20 at the World Championships in Mexico last year. His funding will go towards equipment, nutrition and travel costs in 2017.
    • Swimmer, Maya Westlake, has received further support as she looks to reach the commonwealth games in 2018. Maya was recently selected to represent GB in in Texas in January and also won the 200m Freestyle at the British Nationals.

    October 26th 2016

    • Anna Daly has received further support as she continues to dance at the Royal Ballet School. Anna performed at Holland Park and the Royal Opera House in the schools final performance of the year.
    • 2016 British Aquathlon champion, Emily Moss, has received support as she aims to represent GB in the European and World Championships next year. The funding will be used to compete in international events.
    • Emily Patch has had a fantastic year in triathlon and in August became British Under 20 standard distance triathlon champion. Emily has already qualified for next years European Championships and is hoping to qualify for the World Championships as well.
    • Nine year old canoeist, Lewis Andrews, is the youngest individual that Adam’s Foundation has ever sponsored. This year he won the National Marathon Title for under 10’s and hopes to become national champion next year in both sprint and marathon racing in the under 12’s category.

    July 6th 2016

    • Ethan Steele has received his first donation from Adam’s Foundation as he looks to add to his already impressive list of accolades in Judo. The donation will help him enter more major competitions in both the UK and abroad.
    • Cyclist, Alice Standish, who travels all over the UK competing in various events and will use the funding to help with travel and accommodation costs. Alice is currently 24th in the Under 16 National Rankings despite still only being 14.
    • Adam’s Foundation has made a significant donation to the both Lincolnshire and Gainsborough District Athletics Team and Lincolnshire Schools’ Athletics Team to enable them to compete at the highest possible level this summer including the School Games in Gateshead.
    • Matthew Bates has received further support as he looks forward to starting at the Royal Ballet Upper School in September. Matthew has spent the previous year as Head Boy at the School and has performed in various productions including the Nutcracker.
    • Shot Putter, Kieran Tscherniawsky, has received a donation that will go towards his trip to Rio De Janeiro for the Paralympics. This will be Kieran’s second Paralympics after competing in London. We wish him all the best!
    • Nichola Clark has received support as she aims to start competing again at Regional Level in Dressage following her back injury.
    • Cerebral Palsy athlete, Lee Cupit, has received a donation as he continues to compete in the shot put at international level. Lee is hoping to qualify for the World and European Championships next year and will use the donation to help with competition costs.
    • Declan Bennett, who is a multiple world champion after last years World Transplant Games, has received support for the European Transplant Games this year in Finland. The swimmer won 7 Medals last year and set 7 world records as well.

    March 16th 2016

    • Abi Burr has received further support to help with her costs as a swimmer. Abi has recently represented the East Midlands Team in Luxembourg and her aim for this year is to qualify for the British Summer Championships in July and medal at the ASA nationals in August.
    • Lara Edwards, who competes in dressage, has achieved her dream of gaining a Team GB flag. The support she has gained from Adam’s Foundation will go towards lessons and her aim of participating in more international competitions later in the year.
    • Jacob Boden has received support from the foundation for the first time so he can enter competitions that are classed as ‘essential’ in enabling him to gain the scores required to attend the selection shoot next year which will then allow him to represent GB in Archery. Jacob is currently the U14 National Indoor Champion.
    • Dedicated athlete Brad Piper, has been supported from Adam’s foundation and will use the donation to help with equipment and travel costs. Brad is currently the only U17 sprint Hurdler at LWAC and is working hard to get into the East of England team again.
    • Adam’s Foundation is very pleased to support Woodhall Spa Ladies Hockey Team and has made a donation towards their equipment costs. The club is very welcoming towards new players ages 14+ and is hoping to enter a Summer Hockey League for the first time.
    • Adam’s Foundation has also made a donation to Rachel Belcher who is cycling from London to Paris and to raise money for the CSP Network which will benefit Lincolnshire Sport. The money raised will go towards helping people of all ages with a disability to take part in sport or physical activity. Please go on the following website for more information or to sponsor her.

    • Ethan Grace-Riches has been given support by the foundation to enable him to reach his potential in swimming. Ethan is currently swimming freestyle and back stroke at regional level though he hopes to be competing at Midland and National Level in the near future.
    • Swimmer, Maya Westlake, has again received funding from the foundation that will go towards travel and accommodation at Pre Olympic Trial camps. The trials for Team GB take place in Glasgow in April and Maya is hoping to make the 4x200m relay team.
    • Brad Westlake has also received funding to help with his swimming aspirations. As well as Maya, Brad will use the donation to pay for the costs associated with the Olympic Trials at the start of 2016.
    • Triathlete Ryan Whitney, has received support from the foundation to help him achieve his ambitions. Earlier this year, he competed in the World Championships in Chicago and now has aspirations of progressing to national elite triathlon level.
    • Olivia Leslie, who plays in the Doncaster Belles development squad has received a small donation from the foundation to help with her travel costs. Olivia has a promising future ahead of her in football, especially as the Belles have just been promoted to the Women’s Super League!

    • We are very pleased to sponsor Anna Daly once again as she looks forward to her second year at the Royal Ballet School in London. Anna will receive training that is not available locally and will continue to progress with some of the best facilities in the world.
    • Triathlete, Emily Patch, has already represented Team GB at the European Championships this year, finishing 12th in her age category. She now aims to compete at Elite Level and her ambition is to represent GB at the Olympics next year.
    • Table Tennis player, Nathan Butler, continues to improve and rise up the rankings. In September he will represent the Midlands at the School Games in Manchester.
    • Emily Moss has received further support to help with her costs as she continues to compete in middle distance athletic events. She also aims to head to Kenya for Altitude training in the Autumn.
    • Lee Cupit is aiming to compete at the Rio Paralympics next year in the Shot Put. He is currently ranked 6th in the world and with the support of the foundation hopes to improve on this.
    • Discus and Shot thrower Kieran Tscherniawsky has been sponsored by the foundation as he continues to compete at the highest level. He aims to represent Team GB at the World Championships in Doha later this year and at Rio in the Paralympics next year. Kieran is currently ranked 6th in the world at Discus and Shot.
    • Kieron Smythe, who competes in Judo has received sponsorship from the foundation as he aims to train in Japan with other members of the England Judo team. He aims to compete as a junior in the European and World Championships.
    • Cyclist, Alice Standish, is aiming to improve her place on the National British Cycling Rankings. Last year she finished 27th nationally in Cyclo Cross 2014/15. Alice is currently attending Derby Arena training towards gaining accreditation so she can compete in Track Events as well.
    • 12 students form the Koku-Ryu Martial Arts Club in Brigg have been selected to represent England at the World Championships in the UK in October and then head to Benidorm in November. Adam’s foundation will proudly support them in their quest for success.

    The Lincolnshire Schools Athletics Team received support before they travelled up to Gateshead for the National School Games. The team won 2 Gold medals and several bronze medals. This included a bronze medal for Georgina Adam who Adam’s foundation has previously sponsored in the 200m. As a team Lincolnshire won the “C” Counties trophy.

    • Matthew Bates has received further support from the foundation as he continues to shine at the Royal Ballet School in London. In the past three years Matt has performed in Sleeping Beauty, La Syphide and The Nutcracker. This is a superb achievement as there are only 12 places available for boys each year.
    • Athlete, Ashley Sandall, has been supported by the foundation and will use the donation to help with travel and equipment costs. Ashley’s aims for the next 12 months are to break into the top 5 at Under 20 level for the 400m and also to represent England or GB. Follow him on Twitter.
    • Adam’s foundation has supported Lara Dyson, who competes in Dressage. The donation will go towards training with Olympic Gold Medalist, Charlotte Dujardin amongst other costs.     • Athlete, Georgina Adam, has received funding from the foundation to help with her competition and equipment costs as she aims to maintain a place in the UK top 3 at 200m. After setting a PB of 24.96 last year, Georgina was nominated for Young Sportswoman of the Year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards.
    • Jack Hodgson has gained further support from the foundation as he hopes to attend the British Judo Centre of Excellence in Walsall on a more regular basis. Jack has a long term aim of attending 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio De Janeiro and recently won the Young Disabled Sports Person of the Year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards.
    • The foundation is very pleased to support Megan Brewer once again after she successfully gained a place at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. Megan, from Lincoln, has a long term aim of travelling and performing as part of a contemporary dance company before setting up a dance company in her own right.

    The foundation has strengthened it’s ties with the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership by sponsoring six athletes on its Lincolnshire Elite Athlete Programme (LEAP) in 2015. The six youngsters who compete at regional and national level will be part of a new level named after Adam’s foundation.

    • Charlotte Gilersleeve has received further support as she begins her second year at Cambridge Bodyworks. Charlotte has achieved high outcomes in all areas of dance in a very productive and progressive first year.
    • Open Water swimmer, Emily Walsh, has received support in her quest to qualify for the GB team next summer at the European Juniors.
    • Brad Westlake has received support that will go towards his travel and competition costs. Brad has recently moved into senior competition and is back competing with Lincoln Vulcans. The swimmer still has aspirations of competing in Rio in 2016.
    • Maya Westlake has also received support. Maya now swims with the City of Sheffield swim squad as well as LVSC and continues to set personal bests whilst moving up the rankings.
    • Swimmer, Lauren Freeman, has received support that will go towards her aim of competing in the National Youth Championships and British Championships in 2015.
    • Table Tennis ace, Nathan Butler, has received further sponsorship from Adam’s foundation as he continues to progress at a high level of competition and in much higher age categories.

    • 11 year old Anna Daly has been awarded a place at the Royal Ballet School in London and will be supported by the fund. This is a huge achievement as there are only a few amount of places available.
    • Swimmer Declan Bennett has had a successful year and will again be competing in the British Transplant games in Bolton in August. He also hopes to qualify for the World Transplant games in Argentina next year.

    • Abi Burr has received support from Adam’s fund as she continues to progress in the pool. Abi will be competing in the English schools Inter-Divisional Swimming Championships at Bristol and will represent the East Midlands. In March, Abi competed in 13 events at the Lincolnshire County Championships in the 15 year old category, winning gold in each event.

    • Nichola Clark who competes in Dressage has gained support from the fund as she aims to compete more in Regional competition with a further aim of being a semi professional.

    • Kickboxer Alex Carter who has already represented England at the British Championships and won a bronze medal has been supported by the fund. Alex hopes compete in further British Championships and the World Championships in Portugal.
    • Middle Distance runners Rebekah Ward, Catrina Thomas and Abbie Donnelly have received support towards their competition and equipment costs. Rebekah hopes to compete in the English Schools Championships and has a long term ambition of representing England at International level. Last year Catrina was ranked 2nd in the UK for steeplechase at Under 17 and also hopes to qualify for the English Schools Championships in the next year. Abbie’s aim for the next 12 months is also to reach the same championships and retain her county titles.

    • Matthew Bates has been offered a music and dance scholarship for a further two years at the Royal Ballet School. Matthew has already performed in the Nutcracker, Party Child and Rabbit Drummer and has a long term goal of being a professional dancer.
    • Athlete, Emily Moss, has received support to help pay for travel and training costs. The middle distance runner hopes to improve her overall endurance by travelling to Kenya for altitude training and hopes to represent England at the Commonwealth games in 2014.
    • Javelin thrower, Joseph Dunderdale, has received funding for 2014. Last season Joseph was ranked 1st in the UK at U23 level with a throw of 73.97m and is hoping to represent England at the Commonwealth Games this year.
    • Adam’s fund is very proud to support the Lincoln ADHD support Fishing Group. The aim of the group is to support families and provide a calming activity in a relaxed environment that will help teach youngsters to behave and respect other people.
    • Rosie Marshall has received support to help cover her travel and equipment costs. Rosie, who is currently affiliated with Nene Valley Harriers, hopes to compete at this years Amateur Athletics Association’s event in the 800m.
    • Lara Dyson has received further support as she pursues her aim of getting on the Equestrian GB Senior squad. Lara has recently won another regional title and qualified for the British Dressage national championships.
    • Golfer, Sam Whitaker, has received support from Adam’s fund for the first time that will go towards his coaching costs. Sam is aiming to be selected for the England squad in the next 12 months.

Students have been involved with many fundraising activities already.     • Dancer, Megan Brewer, has received support from the fund following her successful audition to become an associate member of the Chantry Dance Company in London. Megans long term aim is to perform as part of a contemporary dance company.
    • Lauren Freeman has once again received support towards her competition and travel expenses as she continues to progress and gain excellent results in swimming.
    • Swimmer, Brad Westlake, has also gained further support as he continues to compete at a high competitive level. Brad has recently returned to training following a fracture to his spine.
    • Maya Westlake, has been sponsored by Adam’s fund to help with her ongoing travel, training and competition costs. Maya, who swims with Lincoln Vulcans, travelled to Portugal this summer with the GB team and is aiming for the Commonwealth Games next year.

    • Funding has been awarded to hurdler Julian Adeniran, as he continues his comeback from a respiratory infection. Julian still has a long term aim of competing at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
    • Athlete, Haran Dunderdale, has received support from the fund as he continues to progress through the world of middle distance running and steeplechase. Haran recently ran 5.54 at the 2000m Steeplechase and is now ranked 1st in Europe and 8 in the world at U18 level. Haran’s funding will go towards travel, training and physiotherapy costs.     • Table Tennis star, Nathan Butler, has obtained support ready for a summer of training in France. Despite being only 13, Nathan is currently ranked 25 at National Under 15 level.
    • Liz Mcternan, who is a Para-Triathlete, has received sponsorship from the fund to support her next overseas event in the European Hand Bike Federation (EHC) race in October in Barcelona. Liz recently came 5th in both the Time Trial and Road Race in Sergovia, which now ranks her fourth in the world.

    • Adam’s Fund has supported Rugby player Jack Holmes. Jack is preparing to move down south to compete with the Exeter Chiefs Academy with a long term aim of breaking into the first team. Jack has recently been with Leicester Tigers.
    • Lara Dyson, who competes in Equestrian, has received further support from the fund. Lara was Northern Region National Novice and Elementary Champion last year. This means she is a step closer to representing GB in the senior squad.

    • Shot Putter, Rob Mohan, has received support from the fund as he aims to qualify for the U23 European Championships. Rob currently has a PB of 16.29. The support will help with training and equipment costs.

    • The fund is proud to continue its support of Matthew Bates who will commence his third year at the Royal Ballet School in London in September. Matthew has had a fantastic year achieving the highest appraisal mark for both his ballet and character exams out of all the boys in his year.
    • Athlete Emily Moss has also received further support from the fund in time for the athletics season. Emily competes all over the UK and abroad and hopes to travel to Kenya next winter for altitude training and to improve her overall endurance.
    • The fund has sponsored triathlete Patrick Cutmore, who has progressed to international level recently. Patrick will be representing Great Britain in the European championships in Turkey this year at under 20 level and will use the funding to support this.

    • Swimmer, Declan Bennett, has been supported by the fund as he prepares to compete in the UK transplant games in Sheffield this August. Declan was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease at the age of seven and underwent a kidney transplant in 2009. He currently swims with Lincoln Vulcans Swimming Club
    • Joseph Dunderdale has received funding to help him progress as a GB international athlete. Joseph, a javelin thrower, is ranked 1st in the UK and 28th in Europe at Under 23 level and currently has a throw of 75.73m. The donation will help with travel, training and competition costs.
    • Adam’s fund has sponsored Andy Skinner as he aims to progress on the Pro Am golf tour. One of Andy’s aims for this year is to win his class in the British Open in August, though his long term aim is to represent GB in the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo. This is dependant on golf being included. In the meantime, he will be climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in October with a group of African amputees to help highlight the difference in Technology.     The fund is pleased to be able to support Abi Burr as she looks to compete in the Eindhoven Cup in Holland. The Dutch use this meet for qualification for the European Juniors Championships. Abi has made considerable progress in the past 12 months, achieving several titles and PB’s.

    Adams fund recently supported the Lincoln Cannons Volleyball Club. Although one of the biggest and most professional sports clubs in the region, it recently lost funding. The club currently has 4 teams competing in different leagues and will use the funding to pay for sports hall hire, referees costs and league entries.

    • Swimmer Brad Westlake, continues to compete at a high level across the country and has seven national times to date. His long term aim is the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014.
      Maya Westlake has also received further support as she continues to make progress in the pool. Maya has also been competing nationally and has 4 national times.
    • Sean Westerman has received support as he aims to continue competing on a national level as a swimmer. Sean has previously set Lincolnshire swimming records and aims to competed internationally in future.
    • Badmiton ace, Harley Towler received further support from the fund as he continues to progress in the badminton world. Harley has recently reached 110 in the doubles world rankings and continues to compete at an international level.

    • Talented baseball player Ben Powell has been supported as he aims to make it on the other side of the Atlantic. Ben has been offered a place on a baseball elite athlete program in Canada for 1 year despite only taking up baseball in the past year which has been organised by his coach.
    • Bo Haywood has received support from the fund as she continues to compete at a high level in Triathlon. Having already won a series of competitions at many levels, Bo’s next competition is in New Zealand in October.

One of Matts many achievements in his first year was being one of 8 boys cast for La Syphide. Only Matt and one other performer were in Year 7.     The fund is pleased to sponsor the United Freestyle Black Dragons Association who will use their sponsorship to purchase new equipment whilst training in the Birchwood area of Lincoln. As well as teaching people of all ages the rules and techniques of kickboxing, self-defence skills are developed as well.

    • England judo squad member, Jack Hodgson, has received support from the fund as he looks to maintain his place in the squad. Jack, who is visually impaired, was a runner up at the 2011 Lincolnshire Sports Awards. Jack also carried the Olympic Torch on 27th June as it passed through Lincoln.

    • Lee Cupit, has received funding as he looks to fulfil his paralympic ambitions. Lee, who has cerebral palsy competes in the shot put and recently won a gold medal at the olympic stadium in the Sainsbury’s School Games.
    • Joe Dunderdale, who represents Lincoln Wellington Athletics Club, has been supported by the fund. Joe, who throws the javelin, has a long term target of representing GB at the 2016 Olympic games.
    • Lincoln Vulcans swimmer, Lauren Freeman, has been assisted by the fund to help with competition expenses. Lauren is also a shooter in the GB Youth Squad.
    • Dressage competitor, Lara Dyson, has received further support from the fund as she continues to progress towards the National Senior Squad. As well as competing at a high level, Lara has set up her own coaching company called “Inspiring Minds Equestrian Coaching” alongside her coach.

    • 9 young gymnasts from Witham Hill Gym Club have been supported by the fund as they prepare to travel to the Gymstars International competition in Malta in July. The team is made up of Abigail Small, Alex Ormsby, Bethany Garthwaite, Emma Bluck, Freya Wilkinson, Lauren Shannon, Lucy Thornton, Skye Fox and Tamsin Cook.
    • Andy Skinner, a seated volleyball player, has been supported by the fund in his quest to reach the 2012 Paralympic games in London. Andy was recently nominated in the Disabled Sports Person of the year category at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards
    • Hurdler, Julian Adeniran, received further support from the fund as he aims to get into the GB squad for this summers olympics.

    • Rising tennis star, Andrew Ponder, has received support to help with equipment and training costs. Andrew has recently been selected to represent Lincolnshire in the Under 18 County Cup this March. He also intends to play tennis full time in his gap year after leaving school this Summer and to go on to a combined academic and tennis scholarship at an American University the following year.
    • Emma Sheardown has received support from the fund to help with travel and training costs as she aims to reach the Paralympics in dressage events. Emma is a World Class Para Dressage Rider and won European Gold in 2009 and World Gold in 2010.

    • 18 year old water polo athlete, Neil Williams, has received support from the fund to help with training costs as he hopes to remain eligible for the GB mens squad. Neil’s long term target is 2016 Olympic games in Brazil.
    • Abigail Burr has received further support to help with travel costs as she continues to compete in many swimming competitions. Forthcoming events include Norwich UEA long course in April and the Midlands Regional swimming championships in Coventry in June.

    • Kieran Tscherniawsky received extra support as he continues his training in the run up to this summers paralympics. Kieran is a discus thrower and recently won disabled sports person of the year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards 2011. He is currently training six days a week.
    • Rosie Marshall is a young runner who is currently on the Lincolnshire Elite Athlete Programme. She has received funding to help towards travel and competition costs.

  • Sisters, Keira-Grace and Freya Castledine, have received support from Adam’s Foundation. Both play Netball and reached National Level in 2019 as well as attending Aspire Netball Performance Academy for Elite Athletes. Both have a good chance of being picked for this years Loughborough U15 Competitive squad and also for this summers England Netball Programme.
  • Kickboxer, Talon Chambers, won the Irish Open in 2019 and is currently ranked WAKO Number 1 in the world in the +47 Division. Talon will use his funding to help travel and compete in the Serbia WAKO World Championships as well as other UK and International competitions.
  • Ballerina, Annabel Foster, has received further support from the charity as she continues to progress at the Royal Ballet School in London. Annabel has had to work hard to be offered a place in Year 9 as this isn’t guaranteed at the start of Year 8.
  • Wheelchair Racer, Joel James, is hoping to be internationally classified in 2020. When he achieves this he will hope to compete in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m and 5000m in competitions in Italy and Switzerland. His long term aim is to compete in the next World Games and Paralympics.
  • Amelia Peters is the first player from Water Polo to receive support from the Foundation. Amelia trains in the Under 19’s GB squad and has just been asked to trial for the Senior Women’s squad. In 2018, Amelia competed in Madeira for GB Under 19’s and is still eligible to compete for them in the Europeans in Ostia in July this year.
  • Zac Pywell is a triathlete who primarily competes in Ironman. Zac’s funding will mainly go towards coaching and physio costs as well as travel as he competes Nationally and Internationally. In 2019, Zac came first in his age group in Ironman 70.3 Bahrain and Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote and over the next 12 months he plans to qualify for the World Championships in New Zealand.
  • Ethan Steele has been sponsored by Adam’s Foundation as he continues to represent GB in UK and International Competitions. In 2019, Ethan won the English Open, Scottish Open and Northern Irish Open as well as Silver at the British Championships and Copenhagen International. Ethan has a great chance of representing GB at the 2024 Olympics.
  • Kickboxer, Mackenzie Warrant, has received his second donation from Adam’s Foundation. In 2019, Mackenzie represented GB in Hungary and earned Grand Champion in three categories. He aims to represent GB again this year at the World Championships and take his 2nd Dan Black Belt.
  • Adam’s Foundation will sponsor Lyra Waters who competes in Roller Derby and plays for the Lincolnshire Bombinos who are based in Lincoln. Lyra has been selected to represent GB in the Junior Roller Derby World Cup in Saskatchewan, Canada in August.

  • Matt Ellis has received funding from the Foundation that will go towards his 2020 season where he will be racing for a Cornish based UCI continental racing team. Last year he raced for a top division French Team called Charvieu Chavagneux Isere Cyclisme based close to Lyon. Matt’s aim for this year is to podium at the National U23 Championships on the road and podium at the Cyclo-cross national series.
  • Will Lonsdale is the second Fencer to be sponsored by Adam’s charity. He recently came 17th out of a field of 196 at a Junior World Cup Event in Aix-en-Provence. He has also been selected for the 2020 World Fencing Championships.
  • Thomas Talbot has been sponsored again by the charity. Thomas competes Nationally and Internationally in Racerunning and races several distances. In April 2019, Thomas broke the U16 RR2 Male 100m World Record and then broke the 1500m RR2 U16 World Record in May 2019. Thomas was also nominated in the Disabled Sportsperson of the Year category at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards.
  • Road Cyclist, Joe Laverick, has received his second donation from the Foundation. Joe’s recent achievements include 8th Junior at the World Time Trial Championships and Top 10 Overall at Tour of Basque Country and Tour of Wales. In the next few months, Joe will be moving to France to ride for a World Tour U23 Development Team.
  • Adam’s Foundation has supported its first basketball player. Andre Ryan, from Lincolnshire, plays for Leicester Riders U16’s and has recently been called up to the U15 England Selection Squad. His goal for the next 5 years is to be playing NCAA College Basketball in America.

  • After winning Four Golds and One Silver Medal at the 2018 World Special Olympic Games in Abu Dhabi, Gymnast and trampolinist, Lauren Douce, is aiming for selection for the GB Trampolining team with trials in December. Her sponsorship will go towards training and competition costs.
  • Young dancer, Eva Fellows, has received a donation from Adam’s Foundation. Eva has been selected for the mid associate programme at the Royal Ballet Covent Garden after completing the Junior Associate Programme there in June. Eva was also a finalist in the White Lodge Royal Ballet Selection Programme.
  • Adam’s Charity has made a donation to Epee Fencer, William Ferguson, who became the U16 British Champion in May this year. William has already represented England at International level and aims to secure place on GB Cadet squad and to represent GB on European Championship circuit in the next 12 months. William was the Young Sportsman Runner up at the 2018 Lincolnshire Sports Awards.
  • Powerlifter, Amelia Mayock, has received funding that will help towards her National and International Competitions. In 2018, Amelia represented GB at U18 in Czech Republic where she won Gold for deadlift, Bronze for Bench Press and Bronze overall. Amelia will represent GB in the World Championships in Canada and in 2020 will compete in the British Equipped Juniors which are being held in Horncastle.

  • Archer, Jacob Boden, has received further support to help with competition and training costs. Jacob recently competed in the European Youth Cup in Slovenia and finished an impressive 9th. His next competition will be the Indoor Nationals Open in Warwickshire in September.
  • Oliver Kettleborough is an Artistic Gymnast and competes across all six apparatus. Oliver’s recent achievements include Masters Titles for Rings, P-Bars, Floor, Vault and Pommel at the Disability Masters for Artistic Gymnastics. His sponsorship will help towards retaining his British title and Masters Title. He also aims to compete in mainstream competition.
  • Nick Welbourn is the first sailor to receive sponsorship from Adam’s Foundation. Nick has been part of the British Youth Sailing Team for 4 years and is a member of the RYA Laser Radial Youth Squad. Nick came 3rd in the Laser Radial Men’s competition at the Palamos International Christmas Race 2018 and was the 2018 Laser Radial UK Youth Inland Champion.

  • Cyclist, Rory Standish, has qualified for the National Time Trial Championship for the past 3 years and is now moving into triathlon with the aim of being in the East Midlands Academy in the next five years. Rory was recently the youth winner of the Woodhall Spa Triathlon and will compete in the British Triathlon Championships in Leicester in September.

  • Anna Daly has received further support as she continues her education at the Royal Ballet School. Despite strong competition to retain her place at the School, Anna is now in her fifth successive year which is a great achievement.
  • Flossie England has received support from the Foundation to help with her 2019 equestrian season. Flossie recently qualified for the Pony British Novice showjumping second rounds with her Para Season starting next month.
  • Annabel Foster has become the third Ballet Dancer to receive a donation after being accepted at the Royal Ballet School. Annabel was only one of 13 boys and 13 girls accepted from over 1,000 people who auditioned for a place at the prestigious school so it is a huge achievement.
  • Elliot Harvey is first person to receive support from Adam’s Foundation for American Football. Elliot has been accepted on to the GB American Football Programme and has represented GB at under 19 level. He is also the first Lincolnshire Bomber to score a touchdown representing GB.
  • Judoka, Ethan Steele, continues to progress and take titles in Judo. Since his most recent donation from Adam’s Foundation, he has taken Gold at English Open, Scottish Open and Northern Irish Open.
  • Kickboxer, Mackenzie Warrant, has received his first donation from the charity. Mackenzie has already competed in a World Championship and has since continued to train with GB squad. In March he competed at the Adidas CIMAC Superleague and finished in first place.
  • Luke Easton received funding to help with his progression in Karate. He travelled to Madrid in November to compete as part of a three man team in the World Championships and is also going back out to Spain in March to represent England in the Senior European Championships.

2018

13th September 2018

  • Talented Dancer, Matthew Bates, has received further funding from the Foundation as he aims to get into the Royal Ballet Company. He was one of only three British boys to be accepted in the graduate year at the Royal Ballet School which is a huge achievement and his recent performances include Nacho Duato’s Multiplicity and Anthony Dowell’s ‘Auroras Wedding’ from Sleeping Beauty.
  • 9 year old Reuben Herridge is already representing Lincolnshire at County and Regional Level. This year, Reuben was a finalist in two regional tournaments after playing some of the top players from the North of England and Midlands. His funding from Adam’s Foundation will help him as he aims to step up to National Level in the next 12 months.
  • Squash player, Charlie Jubbs, who is on the Aspire East Midlands Programme has received support from the foundation to help towards his completion costs. Charlie already captains Lincolnshire U13 boys and has represented East Midlands at the National England squash Aspire Championships.

  • Recipient, Alex Parker, is the first Modern Pentathlete to be sponsored by Adam’s Foundation. Alex recently competed in the Yorkshire region modern triathlon (run, shoot, swim) and won each discipline and therefore qualified for the National Triathlon Championships where he came 5th overall in his age group. In the next 12 months, he will be adding fencing to his competition repertoire and aims to move from Silver to Gold on the English Talent Pathway.
  • Race Runner, Thomas Talbot, has had a fantastic 2018. Having come back from hip surgery, he set new pb’s in all distances and went on to win 4 National RR2 Gold medals at the Cerebral Palsy National Athletic Championships in Doncaster. He also won Disabled Sports Person of the Year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards and was invited by British Athletics to join their Paralympic development academy.
  • Isabella Vinter has received further funding as she continues to progress in Triathlon. During 2018, Izzy won the LWAC 3k series for U13 girls and finished 6th in the region at the Leeds IRC National Qualifier for British Triathlon. Izzy’s aim for 2019 is to become part of the East Midlands Triathlon Academy.
  • Elly Spence, who participates nationally and internationally in Irish Dancing has received her first donation from the charity which will go towards her equipment and competition costs. In the last World Championships, Elly placed 27th and she recently placed 5th in the Scottish Nationals. Her aim for 2019 is to achieve a medal at the next World Championships in North Carolina which she has qualified for.

30th April 2018

  • Georgie Brock-Taylor currently plays netball for Loughborough Lightning under 19’s as well as Charnwood Netball Club Under 16’s despite only being 14 years old. Georgie is already being watched by England scouts and hopes to join their under 17 camp and play in their squad at netball Europe.
  • Lauren Douce has received funding that will go towards her competing at the World Special Olympic Games in Abu Dhabi. Lauren competes in Swimming and Trampolining but excels in Gymnastics. Last autumn, Lauren achieved five medals at the National Special Olympics in Sheffield and was Overall Class 1 at the British Championships
  • Lincolnshire Bombino, Eve Gormley, has participated in roller derby for six years. In autumn last year, she was selected to play for England Juniors and will fly out to Philadelphia in July to participate in an exhibition game at the end of Women’s Roller Derby World Cup.
  • Adam’s Foundation has sponsored swimmer, Ethan Grace-Riches, as he aims to qualify for the Junior European Championships later this year. He will also be aiming for a gold at the British Nationals in July. Ethan has recently been nominated for Secondary School Sports Person of the Year Award.
  • Wheelchair Racer, Joel James, competes in the T34 Classification at several distances and has been selected to represent the North East team in the school games for the past two years. Joel’s funding from Adam’s Foundation will support him as he represents England at the CPISRA World Games in Barcelona in August.
  • Kayaker, Patrick Mongan, competes in Flatwater Sprint Kayak Racing and in 2017 was one of the youngest athletes to be selected for the GB Talent Pathway at British Canoeing. He competed with the Super Regional Squad at an international event in Belgium, achieving silver in the K2 1000m race. Patrick is aiming to go to the European Championships in 2018 and join the Olympic Hopes team.
  • Angus Smith has received funding towards his aim of placing at the European Sprint Triathlon Championships in Glasgow in August. Angus recently achieved a Bronze medal at the National Duathlon Championships and a 14th place finish at the World Standard Distance Championships in Rotterdam. Angus’ Blog
  • 11 year old swimmer, Jessica Wheaton, qualified for ten events at the County Championships in 2018, winning 5 golds and 3 silvers. Jessica’s funding will help with travel costs now she has been selected for the GB Talent Pathway. This comes after being ranked at number 2 in at 50m Breaststroke in the country.

  • Archer, Jacob Boden, will be travelling to France during Easter to participate in an international training camp. Everyone at the Foundation wishes him all the best.

11th October 2017

  • Alice Standish has had a fantastic 2017 in cycling with 1st place finishes in the Doncaster, Tameside, Ixworth and Fakenham Criterium Races. Alice has also represented East Midlands at the UK School Games and is hoping to compete abroad next year.
  • Judoka, Ethan Steele, has also had a successful year winning medals across the country and even winning the ‘Young Sportsman of the Year’ Award at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards. He has also been selected for the Regional England Development Squad.
  • Isabella Vinter received her first donation from Adam’s Foundation as she aims to become part of the East Midlands Triathlon Team next year. Despite being only 12 years old, Isabella has already competed in regional and national events in cross country and open water swimming.
  • Luke Easton has a great chance of competing for GB in karate at the 2020 Olympic Games. He is already competing at a world level and has been selected seven times to represent England in the Junior World Championships. As well as competing, he has already begun coaching karate to younger competitor as his competition costs are largely self funded.
  • Wheelchair Tennis player, Matthew Murray, has received funding from the foundation that will go towards competition entry, travel and hotel costs as he aims to play compete in ITF events in Europe in 2018. Matthew is already part of the Tennis Foundation Development Squad and has competed in the British Open for Juniors.
  • Anna Daly has had another successful year at the Royal Ballet School and has received support from Adam’s Foundation to help with her costs for the next 12 months. Anna has recently won the prestigious Kenneth Macmillan Choreographic Award for 2017 which is a huge achievement.
  • Golfer, Courtney Martland, has received her first donation from Adam’s foundation that will go towards competition and training costs. Courtney has had a great 2017 and continues to reduce her handicap.
  • Adam’s Foundation has also made another significant donation to the Lincolnshire Elite Athlete Programme which offers various types of support as well as financial help.

26th July 2017

  • The Lincolnshire Bombinos are a roller derby team in one of the world’s fastest growing sports which is also being considered for future inclusion at the Olympics. Five of the team are travelling to Copenhagen in August to participate in the first ever Junior European Roller Derby Tournament and have received financial support from Adam’s Foundation.
  • In 2017, Matthew Bates was chosen to represent the Royal Ballet School in Japan and was the only boy to perform in the Royal Ballet Schools Solo’s Evening! In the next 12 months he is hoping to complete his second year assessments so he can make the graduation year.

  • Swimmer, Matthew Broughton, has received support from the Foundation to help with his training, travel and competition costs. He has achieved 9 qualifying times for the 2017 British Summer Championships. He has also been nominated for Young Sportsman of the Year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards this year.
  • James Leaper is the first power-lifter to be sponsored by Adam’s Foundation. James has recently won the national classic bench press competition for under 66kg males. He has now qualified the Commonwealth Bench Competition in September. His funding will go towards travel and entry fees for competitions.
  • First time recipient, Joe Laverick, is a Schoolboy National time-trial champion and also finished 17th at the British Cycling National series junior tour of the Mendips stage race. The funding from Adam’s Foundation will allow him to compete in races of higher quality.
  • Rebekah Ward has made the switch from Athletics to Triathlon and finished 2nd in her age group in her first event last year. She has recently qualified for the World Sprint Triathlon Championships which are taking place in Rotterdam in September.

April 4th 2017

  • Footballer, Jennifer Evans has received support from Adam’s Foundation to help with her travel costs to the 2017 Deaflympics. Jennifer has previously won a bronze medal at the 2016 World Cup.
  • Current U21 National Champion, Tom Jarvis, received support to help him reach at top 15 world junior ranking in the next year in table tennis.
  • Elias Khanouss has been sponsored as he aims to dance at World Championship level in Irish Dancing. The dedicated dancer will use the funding for competition travel and clothes costs.
    Swimmer, Caitlin Mullins, won 8 medals at the County Championships in February Championships and hopes to achieve a National Qualifying time in the next 12 months. Her sponsorship will go towards competition fees and a racing costume.
  • Thomas Talbot has received support from Adam’s Foundation to help with his competition costs in National and International racerunning – an adapted form of athletics for people with cerebral palsy. In 2016, Thomas represented England at the CPISRA 20th International Racerunning Camp and the European Championships.

January 18th 2017

  • Alice Barnsdale is currently ranked 6th in the UK at the Hammer Throw at Under 20 level despite still only being 17. Megan is looking to achieve a podium at the English Schools Championships and then go for a place at the World U20 Championships in 2018.
  • Athlete, Megan Ellison, has received support from Adam’s Foundation as she looks to qualify for the English Schools Competition in the 800m. Megan also runs in the 1500m and 3000m. In 2016 she became the North Midlands Cross Country Champion as well as the Lincolnshire County 800m Champion.
  • Talented squash player, Harry Falconer, has received support that will go towards his travel and accommodation costs. Harry is currently the England Number 1 at U19 level and will play for the England U19 Team at the European Championships in Portugal this year.
  • Swimmer, Ethan Grace-Riches, has recently been selected for the England Talent Programme. His funding will go towards his aim of competing at Midland Level in May and hopefully Nationally in the summer.
  • Oliver Jackson has received support to enable him to compete in sprint and marathon events as a canoeist with his own paddles. In September 2016, Oliver received the Paddle Ability Under 16 Trophy for East Midlands.
  • Keele Markland has gained support from Adam’s Foundation that will go towards his target of competing at the World Dwarf Games. Keele has recently won Gold Medals in Football, Basketball and Hockey events and was a Disabled sports person runner up at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards.
  • Seamus Sheard who is a standard distance triathlete, has already represented GB at International level and was the 17th Under 20 at the World Championships in Mexico last year. His funding will go towards equipment, nutrition and travel costs in 2017.
  • Swimmer, Maya Westlake, has received further support as she looks to reach the commonwealth games in 2018. Maya was recently selected to represent GB in in Texas in January and also won the 200m Freestyle at the British Nationals.

2016

October 26th 2016

  • Anna Daly has received further support as she continues to dance at the Royal Ballet School. Anna performed at Holland Park and the Royal Opera House in the schools final performance of the year.
  • 2016 British Aquathlon champion, Emily Moss, has received support as she aims to represent GB in the European and World Championships next year. The funding will be used to compete in international events.
  • Emily Patch has had a fantastic year in triathlon and in August became British Under 20 standard distance triathlon champion. Emily has already qualified for next years European Championships and is hoping to qualify for the World Championships as well.
  • Nine year old canoeist, Lewis Andrews, is the youngest individual that Adam’s Foundation has ever sponsored. This year he won the National Marathon Title for under 10’s and hopes to become national champion next year in both sprint and marathon racing in the under 12’s category.

July 6th 2016

  • Ethan Steele has received his first donation from Adam’s Foundation as he looks to add to his already impressive list of accolades in Judo. The donation will help him enter more major competitions in both the UK and abroad.
  • Cyclist, Alice Standish, who travels all over the UK competing in various events and will use the funding to help with travel and accommodation costs. Alice is currently 24th in the Under 16 National Rankings despite still only being 14.
  • Adam’s Foundation has made a significant donation to the both Lincolnshire and Gainsborough District Athletics Team and Lincolnshire Schools’ Athletics Team to enable them to compete at the highest possible level this summer including the School Games in Gateshead.
  • Matthew Bates has received further support as he looks forward to starting at the Royal Ballet Upper School in September. Matthew has spent the previous year as Head Boy at the School and has performed in various productions including the Nutcracker.
  • Shot Putter, Kieran Tscherniawsky, has received a donation that will go towards his trip to Rio De Janeiro for the Paralympics. This will be Kieran’s second Paralympics after competing in London. We wish him all the best!
  • Nichola Clark has received support as she aims to start competing again at Regional Level in Dressage following her back injury.
  • Cerebral Palsy athlete, Lee Cupit, has received a donation as he continues to compete in the shot put at international level. Lee is hoping to qualify for the World and European Championships next year and will use the donation to help with competition costs.
  • Declan Bennett, who is a multiple world champion after last years World Transplant Games, has received support for the European Transplant Games this year in Finland. The swimmer won 7 Medals last year and set 7 world records as well.

March 16th 2016

  • Abi Burr has received further support to help with her costs as a swimmer. Abi has recently represented the East Midlands Team in Luxembourg and her aim for this year is to qualify for the British Summer Championships in July and medal at the ASA nationals in August.
  • Lara Edwards, who competes in dressage, has achieved her dream of gaining a Team GB flag. The support she has gained from Adam’s Foundation will go towards lessons and her aim of participating in more international competitions later in the year.
  • Jacob Boden has received support from the foundation for the first time so he can enter competitions that are classed as ‘essential’ in enabling him to gain the scores required to attend the selection shoot next year which will then allow him to represent GB in Archery. Jacob is currently the U14 National Indoor Champion.
  • Dedicated athlete Brad Piper, has been supported from Adam’s foundation and will use the donation to help with equipment and travel costs. Brad is currently the only U17 sprint Hurdler at LWAC and is working hard to get into the East of England team again.
  • Adam’s Foundation is very pleased to support Woodhall Spa Ladies Hockey Team and has made a donation towards their equipment costs. The club is very welcoming towards new players ages 14+ and is hoping to enter a Summer Hockey League for the first time.
  • Adam’s Foundation has also made a donation to Rachel Belcher who is cycling from London to Paris and to raise money for the CSP Network which will benefit Lincolnshire Sport. 2015

  • Ethan Grace-Riches has been given support by the foundation to enable him to reach his potential in swimming. Ethan is currently swimming freestyle and back stroke at regional level though he hopes to be competing at Midland and National Level in the near future.
  • Swimmer, Maya Westlake, has again received funding from the foundation that will go towards travel and accommodation at Pre Olympic Trial camps. The trials for Team GB take place in Glasgow in April and Maya is hoping to make the 4x200m relay team.
  • Brad Westlake has also received funding to help with his swimming aspirations. As well as Maya, Brad will use the donation to pay for the costs associated with the Olympic Trials at the start of 2016.
  • Triathlete Ryan Whitney, has received support from the foundation to help him achieve his ambitions. Earlier this year, he competed in the World Championships in Chicago and now has aspirations of progressing to national elite triathlon level.
  • Olivia Leslie, who plays in the Doncaster Belles development squad has received a small donation from the foundation to help with her travel costs. Olivia has a promising future ahead of her in football, especially as the Belles have just been promoted to the Women’s Super League!

August 5th 2015

  • We are very pleased to sponsor Anna Daly once again as she looks forward to her second year at the Royal Ballet School in London. Anna will receive training that is not available locally and will continue to progress with some of the best facilities in the world.
  • Triathlete, Emily Patch, has already represented Team GB at the European Championships this year, finishing 12th in her age category. She now aims to compete at Elite Level and her ambition is to represent GB at the Olympics next year.
  • Table Tennis player, Nathan Butler, continues to improve and rise up the rankings. In September he will represent the Midlands at the School Games in Manchester.
  • Emily Moss has received further support to help with her costs as she continues to compete in middle distance athletic events. She also aims to head to Kenya for Altitude training in the Autumn.
  • Lee Cupit is aiming to compete at the Rio Paralympics next year in the Shot Put. He is currently ranked 6th in the world and with the support of the foundation hopes to improve on this.
  • Discus and Shot thrower Kieran Tscherniawsky has been sponsored by the foundation as he continues to compete at the highest level. He aims to represent Team GB at the World Championships in Doha later this year and at Rio in the Paralympics next year. Kieran is currently ranked 6th in the world at Discus and Shot.
  • Kieron Smythe, who competes in Judo has received sponsorship from the foundation as he aims to train in Japan with other members of the England Judo team. He aims to compete as a junior in the European and World Championships.
  • Cyclist, Alice Standish, is aiming to improve her place on the National British Cycling Rankings. Last year she finished 27th nationally in Cyclo Cross 2014/15. Alice is currently attending Derby Arena training towards gaining accreditation so she can compete in Track Events as well.
  • 12 students form the Koku-Ryu Martial Arts Club in Brigg have been selected to represent England at the World Championships in the UK in October and then head to Benidorm in November. Adam’s foundation will proudly support them in their quest for success.

The Lincolnshire Schools Athletics Team received support before they travelled up to Gateshead for the National School Games. The team won 2 Gold medals and several bronze medals. This included a bronze medal for Georgina Adam who Adam’s foundation has previously sponsored in the 200m. As a team Lincolnshire won the “C” Counties trophy.

April 22nd 2015

  • Matthew Bates has received further support from the foundation as he continues to shine at the Royal Ballet School in London. In the past three years Matt has performed in Sleeping Beauty, La Syphide and The Nutcracker. This is a superb achievement as there are only 12 places available for boys each year.
  • Athlete, Ashley Sandall, has been supported by the foundation and will use the donation to help with travel and equipment costs. Ashley’s aims for the next 12 months are to break into the top 5 at Under 20 level for the 400m and also to represent England or GB. Follow him on Twitter.

January 14th 2015

  • Athlete, Georgina Adam, has received funding from the foundation to help with her competition and equipment costs as she aims to maintain a place in the UK top 3 at 200m. After setting a PB of 24.96 last year, Georgina was nominated for Young Sportswoman of the Year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards.
  • Jack Hodgson has gained further support from the foundation as he hopes to attend the British Judo Centre of Excellence in Walsall on a more regular basis. Jack has a long term aim of attending 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio De Janeiro and recently won the Young Disabled Sports Person of the Year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards.
  • The foundation is very pleased to support Megan Brewer once again after she successfully gained a place at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. Megan, from Lincoln, has a long term aim of travelling and performing as part of a contemporary dance company before setting up a dance company in her own right.

The foundation has strengthened it’s ties with the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership by sponsoring six athletes on its Lincolnshire Elite Athlete Programme (LEAP) in 2015. The six youngsters who compete at regional and national level will be part of a new level named after Adam’s foundation.

2014

  • Charlotte Gilersleeve has received further support as she begins her second year at Cambridge Bodyworks. Charlotte has achieved high outcomes in all areas of dance in a very productive and progressive first year.
  • Open Water swimmer, Emily Walsh, has received support in her quest to qualify for the GB team next summer at the European Juniors.
  • Brad Westlake has received support that will go towards his travel and competition costs. Brad has recently moved into senior competition and is back competing with Lincoln Vulcans. The swimmer still has aspirations of competing in Rio in 2016.
  • Maya Westlake has also received support. Maya now swims with the City of Sheffield swim squad as well as LVSC and continues to set personal bests whilst moving up the rankings.
  • Swimmer, Lauren Freeman, has received support that will go towards her aim of competing in the National Youth Championships and British Championships in 2015.

  • 11 year old Anna Daly has been awarded a place at the Royal Ballet School in London and will be supported by the fund. This is a huge achievement as there are only a few amount of places available.
  • Swimmer Declan Bennett has had a successful year and will again be competing in the British Transplant games in Bolton in August. He also hopes to qualify for the World Transplant games in Argentina next year.

Abi will be competing in the English schools Inter-Divisional Swimming Championships at Bristol and will represent the East Midlands. In March, Abi competed in 13 events at the Lincolnshire County Championships in the 15 year old category, winning gold in each event.

Last year Catrina was ranked 2nd in the UK for steeplechase at Under 17 and also hopes to qualify for the English Schools Championships in the next year. Abbie’s aim for the next 12 months is also to reach the same championships and retain her county titles.

  • Matthew Bates has been offered a music and dance scholarship for a further two years at the Royal Ballet School. Matthew has already performed in the Nutcracker, Party Child and Rabbit Drummer and has a long term goal of being a professional dancer.
  • Athlete, Emily Moss, has received support to help pay for travel and training costs. The middle distance runner hopes to improve her overall endurance by travelling to Kenya for altitude training and hopes to represent England at the Commonwealth games in 2014.
  • Javelin thrower, Joseph Dunderdale, has received funding for 2014. Last season Joseph was ranked 1st in the UK at U23 level with a throw of 73.97m and is hoping to represent England at the Commonwealth Games this year.
  • Adam’s fund is very proud to support the Lincoln ADHD support Fishing Group. The aim of the group is to support families and provide a calming activity in a relaxed environment that will help teach youngsters to behave and respect other people.
  • Rosie Marshall has received support to help cover her travel and equipment costs. Rosie, who is currently affiliated with Nene Valley Harriers, hopes to compete at this years Amateur Athletics Association’s event in the 800m.
  • Lara Dyson has received further support as she pursues her aim of getting on the Equestrian GB Senior squad. Lara has recently won another regional title and qualified for the British Dressage national championships.
  • Golfer, Sam Whitaker, has received support from Adam’s fund for the first time that will go towards his coaching costs. Sam is aiming to be selected for the England squad in the next 12 months.

  • Adam’s Fund will be supporting Lincoln City FC’s ‘Future Imps Fund‘ for the next 12 months. As well as Manchester United, Adam was a supporter of the imps, so we are pleased to support the academy and hopefully help local talent break get into football.

We are delighted to announce that Adam’s fund will be making a contribution to a football development tour to Valencia involving 15 Year 8/9 students from Cherry Willingham Community School. Students have been involved with many fundraising activities already. This will be an excellent opportunity for the students going as they will receive some top class coaching whilst in a different cultural environment.

  • Dancer, Megan Brewer, has received support from the fund following her successful audition to become an associate member of the Chantry Dance Company in London. Megans long term aim is to perform as part of a contemporary dance company.
  • Lauren Freeman has once again received support towards her competition and travel expenses as she continues to progress and gain excellent results in swimming.
  • Swimmer, Brad Westlake, has also gained further support as he continues to compete at a high competitive level. Brad has recently returned to training following a fracture to his spine.
  • Maya Westlake, has been sponsored by Adam’s fund to help with her ongoing travel, training and competition costs. Maya, who swims with Lincoln Vulcans, travelled to Portugal this summer with the GB team and is aiming for the Commonwealth Games next year.

  • Funding has been awarded to hurdler Julian Adeniran, as he continues his comeback from a respiratory infection. Julian still has a long term aim of competing at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
  • Athlete, Haran Dunderdale, has received support from the fund as he continues to progress through the world of middle distance running and steeplechase. Haran recently ran 5.54 at the 2000m Steeplechase and is now ranked 1st in Europe and 8 in the world at U18 level. Haran’s funding will go towards travel, training and physiotherapy costs.   • Table Tennis star, Nathan Butler, has obtained support ready for a summer of training in France. Despite being only 13, Nathan is currently ranked 25 at National Under 15 level.
  • Liz Mcternan, who is a Para-Triathlete, has received sponsorship from the fund to support her next overseas event in the European Hand Bike Federation (EHC) race in October in Barcelona. Liz recently came 5th in both the Time Trial and Road Race in Sergovia, which now ranks her fourth in the world.

  • Adam’s Fund has supported Rugby player Jack Holmes. Jack is preparing to move down south to compete with the Exeter Chiefs Academy with a long term aim of breaking into the first team. Jack has recently been with Leicester Tigers.
  • Lara Dyson, who competes in Equestrian, has received further support from the fund. Lara was Northern Region National Novice and Elementary Champion last year. This means she is a step closer to representing GB in the senior squad.

6th June 2013

  • Shot Putter, Rob Mohan, has received support from the fund as he aims to qualify for the U23 European Championships. Rob currently has a PB of 16.29. The support will help with training and equipment costs.

  • Adam’s fund has sponsored highly talented dancer, Charlotte Gildersleeve. Charlotte has been given the opportunity to further her training in performing arts at four leading National Colleges with a long term ambition of having a performance career.

30th April 2013

  • The fund is proud to continue its support of Matthew Bates who will commence his third year at the Royal Ballet School in London in September. Matthew has had a fantastic year achieving the highest appraisal mark for both his ballet and character exams out of all the boys in his year.
  • Athlete Emily Moss has also received further support from the fund in time for the athletics season. Emily competes all over the UK and abroad and hopes to travel to Kenya next winter for altitude training and to improve her overall endurance.
  • The fund has sponsored triathlete Patrick Cutmore, who has progressed to international level recently. Patrick will be representing Great Britain in the European championships in Turkey this year at under 20 level and will use the funding to support this.

  • Swimmer, Declan Bennett, has been supported by the fund as he prepares to compete in the UK transplant games in Sheffield this August. Declan was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease at the age of seven and underwent a kidney transplant in 2009. He currently swims with Lincoln Vulcans Swimming Club
  • Joseph Dunderdale has received funding to help him progress as a GB international athlete. Joseph, a javelin thrower, is ranked 1st in the UK and 28th in Europe at Under 23 level and currently has a throw of 75.73m. The donation will help with travel, training and competition costs.
  • Adam’s fund has sponsored Andy Skinner as he aims to progress on the Pro Am golf tour. One of Andy’s aims for this year is to win his class in the British Open in August, though his long term aim is to represent GB in the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo. This is dependant on golf being included. In the meantime, he will be climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in October with a group of African amputees to help highlight the difference in Technology. The fund is pleased to be able to support Abi Burr as she looks to compete in the Eindhoven Cup in Holland. The Dutch use this meet for qualification for the European Juniors Championships. Abi has made considerable progress in the past 12 months, achieving several titles and PB’s.

Adams fund recently supported the Lincoln Cannons Volleyball Club. Although one of the biggest and most professional sports clubs in the region, it recently lost funding. The club currently has 4 teams competing in different leagues and will use the funding to pay for sports hall hire, referees costs and league entries.

Wheelchair Athlete, Jamie Carter has received funding to help assist him with travel costs and overseas events in 2013. At just 17, Jamie competed for Great Britain in the 2012 summer paralympics, finishing 6th in his heat.

  • Swimmer Brad Westlake, continues to compete at a high level across the country and has seven national times to date. His long term aim is the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014.
    Maya Westlake has also received further support as she continues to make progress in the pool. Maya has also been competing nationally and has 4 national times.
  • Sean Westerman has received support as he aims to continue competing on a national level as a swimmer. Sean has previously set Lincolnshire swimming records and aims to competed internationally in future.
  • Badmiton ace, Harley Towler received further support from the fund as he continues to progress in the badminton world. Harley has recently reached 110 in the doubles world rankings and continues to compete at an international level.

  • Talented baseball player Ben Powell has been supported as he aims to make it on the other side of the Atlantic. Ben has been offered a place on a baseball elite athlete program in Canada for 1 year despite only taking up baseball in the past year which has been organised by his coach.
  • Bo Haywood has received support from the fund as she continues to compete at a high level in Triathlon. Having already won a series of competitions at many levels, Bo’s next competition is in New Zealand in October.

Matthew Bates, who is a rising star at the Royal Ballet School, has received further support as he approaches the start of his second year in London. One of Matts many achievements in his first year was being one of 8 boys cast for La Syphide. Only Matt and one other performer were in Year 7. Judges, Tenors Unlimited, have even commented that Matt could make a career using his voice.

The fund is pleased to sponsor the United Freestyle Black Dragons Association who will use their sponsorship to purchase new equipment whilst training in the Birchwood area of Lincoln. As well as teaching people of all ages the rules and techniques of kickboxing, self-defence skills are developed as well.

  • England judo squad member, Jack Hodgson, has received support from the fund as he looks to maintain his place in the squad. Jack, who is visually impaired, was a runner up at the 2011 Lincolnshire Sports Awards. Jack also carried the Olympic Torch on 27th June as it passed through Lincoln.

  • Lee Cupit, has received funding as he looks to fulfil his paralympic ambitions. Lee, who has cerebral palsy competes in the shot put and recently won a gold medal at the olympic stadium in the Sainsbury’s School Games.
  • Joe Dunderdale, who represents Lincoln Wellington Athletics Club, has been supported by the fund. Joe, who throws the javelin, has a long term target of representing GB at the 2016 Olympic games.
  • Lincoln Vulcans swimmer, Lauren Freeman, has been assisted by the fund to help with competition expenses. Lauren is also a shooter in the GB Youth Squad.
  • Dressage competitor, Lara Dyson, has received further support from the fund as she continues to progress towards the National Senior Squad. As well as competing at a high level, Lara has set up her own coaching company called “Inspiring Minds Equestrian Coaching” alongside her coach.

  • 9 young gymnasts from Witham Hill Gym Club have been supported by the fund as they prepare to travel to the Gymstars International competition in Malta in July. The team is made up of Abigail Small, Alex Ormsby, Bethany Garthwaite, Emma Bluck, Freya Wilkinson, Lauren Shannon, Lucy Thornton, Skye Fox and Tamsin Cook.
  • Andy Skinner, a seated volleyball player, has been supported by the fund in his quest to reach the 2012 Paralympic games in London. Andy was recently nominated in the Disabled Sports Person of the year category at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards
  • Hurdler, Julian Adeniran, received further support from the fund as he aims to get into the GB squad for this summers olympics.

8th March 2012

  • Rising tennis star, Andrew Ponder, has received support to help with equipment and training costs. Andrew has recently been selected to represent Lincolnshire in the Under 18 County Cup this March. He also intends to play tennis full time in his gap year after leaving school this Summer and to go on to a combined academic and tennis scholarship at an American University the following year.
  • Emma Sheardown has received support from the fund to help with travel and training costs as she aims to reach the Paralympics in dressage events. Emma is a World Class Para Dressage Rider and won European Gold in 2009 and World Gold in 2010.

  • 18 year old water polo athlete, Neil Williams, has received support from the fund to help with training costs as he hopes to remain eligible for the GB mens squad. Neil’s long term target is 2016 Olympic games in Brazil.
  • Abigail Burr has received further support to help with travel costs as she continues to compete in many swimming competitions. Forthcoming events include Norwich UEA long course in April and the Midlands Regional swimming championships in Coventry in June.

  • Kieran Tscherniawsky received extra support as he continues his training in the run up to this summers paralympics. Kieran is a discus thrower and recently won disabled sports person of the year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards 2011. He is currently training six days a week.
  • Rosie Marshall is a young runner who is currently on the Lincolnshire Elite Athlete Programme. She has received funding to help towards travel and competition costs.
