About us

Active Lincolnshire is committed to providing opportunities for everyone in Lincolnshire to be active every day. We work with partners to address inequalities and inactivity, responding to the needs of people and places.

Our Work

As advocates for the positive power that physical activity has on everyone’s lives, we work in partnership to improve understanding, influence change, and tackle the challenge of inactivity.

Be Safe Have Fun

A campaign supporting young people to remain safe in their sport whilst continuing to have fun.

Support our Child-friendly Safeguarding Campaign

Our Be Safe – Have Fun Campaign uses child-friendly resources and engaging activities to help children and young people understand what it means to stay safe in sport. We aim to empower them to speak up and raise any concerns they may have, creating a safer culture where everyone can enjoy sport with confidence.

The campaign supports you, as a club or activity provider, to build inclusive, supportive environments, which encourage children and young people to recognise when something isn’t right and to talk to someone they trust.

Find out how you can join us in sharing it with the children and young people you work with, below.

Campaign Background

The campaign has been supported and informed by children and young people's voices. We have undertaken extensive children and young people's surveys within multiple environments to understand what it meant for them to be safe in sport. We have also involved youth co-creation in the design of campaign assets.

Get Involved

The Be Safe - Have Fun campaign is aimed at anyone working with children and young people in sport or physical activity. It can be introduced as a year round round initiative to maintain a positive club culture or during our annual campaign dates in October.

To help you introduce and share the campaign within your club or activity provision we have created a toolkit with more information and insight about the background of the campaign, and guidance on how you can get involved and support it.
