Ruston Sports & Social Club, Newark Road, Lincoln, LN6 9RN

Join Active Lincolnshire and the Physical Activity & Sport, Equality Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Group for our first workshop exploring the topics of periods, pregnancy and the menopause. We will be looking at the challenges and barriers that women face, as well as how to successfully support women and girls to enable greater participation in sport and physical activity.

Confirmed speakers include Women in Sport CEO Stephanie Hilborne OBE; Kelly Gordon who will present on a partnership between England Netball and The Well HQ, which aimed to reduce the barriers to being active for females and create an inclusive culture where everybody feels like they can belong and have a place in the game for a lifetime; and Donna Sutton, Health & Wellbeing Lead at Active Lincolnshire who, will discuss pre and post-natal physical activity and the benefits of being active during pregnancy and beyond, as well as sharing local insights and case studies.

This workshop is aimed at people involved in the physical activity sector and will explore best practice in improving access, and providing support to ensure more girls and women can feel confident participating in sport and physical activity.
