About us

Active Lincolnshire is committed to providing opportunities for everyone in Lincolnshire to be active every day. We work with partners to address inequalities and inactivity, responding to the needs of people and places.

What we do

As advocates for the positive power that physical activity has on everyone’s lives, we work in partnership to improve understanding, influence change, and tackle the challenge of inactivity.

Knowledge Hub

Our Knowledge Hub is the core of our website. Here you’ll find our guidance, advice, insight and support in all areas of physical activity and sport.

    Funding and guidance

The Department for Education has invested £10.1 million to support schools to open their sports facilities all year round, helping more children and young people to be physically active during evenings, weekends and school holidays.

As an Active Partnership, we've been awarded £107,000 of this funding to help schools in Lincolnshire open up their facilities. The funding will be distributed in small grants (a maximum of £10,000 per school) to a number of priority schools based on an agreed set of criteria, along with the readiness and willingness of school senior staff to engage.

All funding must be committed or spent by the end of August, but there may be some delivery after this date. Once the grants have been awarded, we’ll continue to work with the selected schools to make sure the benefits to pupils and the wider community are maximised.
