Being active during pregnancy and beyond in Lincolnshire

Wed 7 December

As part of our work in Pre and Postnatal Physical Activity we are delighted to to be joined by industry expert, Co-CEO and Founder of the Active Pregnancy Foundation Dr Marlize De Vivo for our upcoming Pre & Postnatal Physical Activity network meeting, of which we are opening up to anyone working in a physical activity role across Lincolnshire to hear more about the topic of Pre & Postnatal Physical Activity.

Dr Marlize will talk to us about the important role physical activity can play even before conception, all the way through the pregnancy journey and into motherhood and how we, as physical activity sector workforce can support this work locally in Lincolnshire. With a wealth of research and knowledge in the topic, as well as heavy involvement in the production of pre & postnatal physical activity training and CMO guidance, this session presents a great opportunity to learn more about the importance of work in this area for families of Lincolnshire.

From perceptions and behaviours to advice and support available through the Active Pregnancy Foundation; this is an opportunity not be missed if you or your organisation have a passion or interest in ensuring safe and appropriate physical activity opportunities are available for women during pregnancy and the postpartum period.

"Being physically active before becoming pregnant and continuing to be active throughout will help keep the body stronger, fitter and better able to cope with the physical and mental changes that occur during pregnancy"

Jamie-Lee Bowden (Group Exercise Co-ordinator, Active Nation)

The session is free, but booking is essential follow the link below to reserve your free place.
